The guidelines of innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation for coal mining sector

InEcA-consulting company has finished the work upon the third stage within the framework of the project “1st version of “The guidelines of innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation for coal mining sector”.

InEcA-company is an executer of the research scientific work “1st version of “The guidelines of innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation for coal mining sector” within the framework of the project of Ministry of natural resources of the RF, United Nations Development Program and Global Environmental Facility “The objectives of biodiversity conservation in politics and development programs of Russian energy sector”.

The work upon the 3d stage of the project “1st version of “The guidelines of innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation for coal mining sector” has been done:

  • main sections of the Guidelines have been written;
  • cases of biodiversity conservation in coal mining have been prepared;
  • consultations with experts in the sphere of biodiversity assessment and conservation have been carried out;
  • Kemerovo region map (presented boarders of Kuznetsk coal Basin including separated large deposits, main coal mining centers, specially protected natural reservations, key botanic territories and etс.) was made.

The 23 best practices and scientific research results in the sphere of conservation and revitalization of biodiversity in the process of mining have been included into the Guidelines as a result of cooperative work among the regional project coordinator of the United Nations Development Program Yuriy Manakov and InEcA-company experts.

The Guidelines presents how innovative practices, focused on conservation and revitalization of biodiversity, and practices which are not innovative but also demonstrate complex approach of enterprises, focused straight or circumstantially on biodiversity conservation, that could be an good example for coal mining enterprises.

InEcA started the work upon the final stage of the project. Illustrated materials are in process according to the typographic quality requirements. The work started upon the development of the Guidelines design conception, final original galley proof and layout.
